C'mon...this is Rafael Palmeiro we're talkin about. He's about as pure as you can get in a superstar. Granted he tested positive, but I believe his story.

Now, if this were Barry Bonds.....well that's a different story

Palmeiro is giving the exact same lame excuse that Bonds did.

what makes his version any less lame and any more true than Barry's?

Raffy cheated, lied about it, and got caught. period.

He'd doesn't get a Pass just because he's not Barry Bonds.

Did you know that some common cold medicines contain streoids, well they do and I have better solution to banning the substances all together, especially since they can be beneficial to helping heal some types of injuries.

Legalize streoids only under a doctors supervision, yes, you will still have people abuse them, but who really cares. Do you think the public gives a rats butt if any sports superstart takes streoids and wants to kill himself(ala Lyle Alzado or Ken Caminiti), I don't think so(IMO). I know that I don't care because it doesn't affect me personally, so why should all of these other people care, unless they have nothing better to do than but into other peoples lives.

What I was trying to say is that Palmeiro's story is more likely and believable. There are all sorts of substances that can show up in a urine test (blood test...whatever) that have some similar chemical makeups as steroids. Palmeiro is one of the few baseball players I admire because of his pureness and love of the game. I'm not saying he's innocent-merely that I would tend to believe his story.

Barry Bonds is an a$$hole plain and simple. He's the only person that I wish never graced the baseball diamond. And his steroids case is a whole helluva lot different than Palmeiro's. Simply look at him in his Pirate's days; then look at him last year. Even a simpleton can make that comparison.
